Starting an EHCP request
Understanding the EHC needs assessment process, gathering key information and helping prepare a clear request to the local authority.
Reviewing plans and evidence
Checking whether needs and provision are clearly described, including Sections B and F, and identifying issues for discussion or amendment.
Annual reviews and changes
Reviewing paperwork, preparing parent views, attending annual reviews virtually where agreed and helping follow up on decisions.
Independent support from someone who understands
EHCP support is led by Charlene Rolls, a Moving MindSpace director, SEND Advocate and SEND parent. Drawing on her lived experience, Charlene offers practical, parent-focused support, helping families understand their options and take the next step. We understand that families often need someone to take practical action, not simply tell them what to do next.
With your permission, we can correspond with schools and local authorities, prepare written representations and join meetings online. We do not offer in-person appointments. This service is available by telephone, email and video call.

Frequently asked questions
Can you contact the local authority for me?
Yes. With appropriate written authority, we can communicate with the local authority and other professionals on your behalf.
Can you attend my child's annual review?
We can attend virtually as part of an agreed package. We do not attend in person.
Will £150 cover every EHCP and all professional reports?
No. The detailed review includes up to three hours. We will agree the documents and priorities first and explain if more time would be needed.
I've used Moving MindSpace before. Will it cost less?
It may. If we already understand your child's case and have completed relevant work, we take that into account when quoting for the next stage.
What if I need to appeal a local authority decision?
We offer a separate SEND Appeals & Tribunal Preparation service and can discuss what support is appropriate.
You don't have to navigate the EHCP process alone.
Parents, carers and professionals can contact us to discuss EHCP support. We work with adults acting on behalf of children and young people.
