Moving MindSpace · People first

Understanding comes first.

We combine professional perspectives with something deeply personal: lived experience of parenting children with special educational needs.

Our story

We understand, because we’ve been there.

Moving MindSpace is led by Charlene Rolls, Christopher Cooper and Peter Dutton. All three directors are parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We understand that families may have spent years trying to find support that truly fits.

We know how important it is to feel listened to, to have a young person’s individual needs recognised and to find support that does not begin with demands they cannot meet.

Our lived experience informs our approach, alongside professional skills, safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to working collaboratively with families and other professionals.

Listen first

We start with the person, their experiences and what matters to them.

Build trust

We value consistency, relationships and communication without unnecessary pressure.

Adapt support

We work towards meaningful goals in ways that respect individual needs and circumstances.

What we offer

Support for young people and the people around them.

Our work includes online, one-to-one mentoring for young people, EHCP and SEND support, therapy for parents and carers, and mentoring or entrepreneurial support for parents and carers.

We take time to understand what someone is looking for and whether our service is the right fit. We do not offer a one-size-fits-all package.
