Every big idea starts with a spark of imagination. Young Dream Builders gives young people the opportunity to explore their creativity, develop ideas and discover what they might be capable of.
Through personalised, one-to-one online mentoring, we support young people who are curious about creating something of their own, whether that's a small business idea, a digital project, a creative product or simply something they've always wanted to try.
It's not about becoming an entrepreneur overnight. It's about building confidence, developing skills and discovering possibilities.

Who might this suit?
Young Dream Builders is designed for young people who enjoy being creative, exploring ideas, solving problems or imagining new possibilities.
Some may already have dreams of starting a small business, creating digital content or designing their own products. Others may simply enjoy making things, experimenting with technology or sharing their ideas.
The programme can also suit young people who find traditional learning environments difficult, including those experiencing anxiety, autism, ADHD or emotionally based school avoidance.
There's no expectation to arrive with a business plan or even a clear idea. We start with the young person's interests and explore possibilities together.
Mentors are matched to young people based on their interests and individual needs. We discuss suitability with each family or referring professional. A suitable mentor match and availability cannot be guaranteed before an initial conversation.
Every idea deserves the chance to be explored.
Whether a young person dreams of designing clothing, creating artwork, developing a gaming concept, making handmade products or starting a digital project, we help them explore what interests them.
Together with their mentor, they might experiment with branding, creative design, simple budgeting, problem-solving or planning their next steps.
Some ideas may grow into projects. Others may simply provide opportunities to learn something new, build confidence and enjoy the creative process.

These are examples, not requirements or promised outcomes. The mentor and family can agree broad goals and revisit them as the relationship develops.

We believe young people thrive when they feel encouraged, understood and free to explore their ideas without fear of getting things wrong.
Our online, one-to-one sessions are led by the young person's interests, with a consistent mentor wherever possible.
Some young people may arrive full of ideas and enthusiasm. Others may need time to build confidence, develop trust or discover what they enjoy.
There's no pressure to launch a business, make money or complete a project within a particular timeframe.
We work alongside families to identify meaningful, flexible goals that reflect each young person's interests, strengths and individual needs.
This is exploratory mentoring, not a promise of earnings, business success or a formal qualification.
We can discuss how to share relevant progress with families or professionals while respecting confidentiality, safeguarding and the young person’s needs.
Mentoring is not clinical therapy, crisis support or a substitute for statutory educational provision. If a different service is needed, we will discuss that openly.
