🧡 The Carer & Family Support Hub

Supporting the people behind the children

Supporting a neurodivergent or traumatised child isn’t just hard — it can change every part of your life.

Many of the carers we meet are running on empty. They’ve given up careers, sleep, mental health, and relationships. Some are holding multiple children in crisis. Others have no one left to call. And still, they’re expected to keep going.

This is why our Carer & Family Support services exist.

We don’t just ask how your child is.

We ask how you are. And we mean it.

  • Support for parents, carers, and the wider family through:

    • Counselling
    • Mentoring
    • Practical tools
    • Advocacy
    • Crisis support
    • Identity rebuilding
  • This is a confidential, non-judgemental space for parents and carers who feel overwhelmed, burned out, grieving or broken.

    We understand:

    • Parenting a child in shutdown or crisis
    • The guilt of being ‘too tired to help’
    • The trauma of fighting systems like EHCPs or exclusions
    • The fear of what happens if you break down

This space gives you back you — the parts behind the coping.

Carers can access ongoing sessions or one-off support.

    Counselling & Emotional Recovery
  • Many carers lose careers, goals, or confidence in the face of 24/7 responsibility.

This 1:1 mentoring service helps parents:

    • Reconnect with their identity and passions
    • Explore self-employment or flexible income
    • Build projects or businesses around their reality

    It’s not just about income.

It’s about rebuilding hope, purpose, and belief in your own worth.

    Parent Power
  • A simple 8-minute call when everything feels like too much.No pressure, no waiting list — just someone who gets it.

Carers can call / Text for:

    • A safe emotional release
    • Crisis prevention or guidance
    • Feeling less alone, even briefly
    Start With 8
  • When one child struggles, siblings often fall through the cracks.

We support brothers, sisters, and young carers with their own circles or 1:1 space.

Because they carry more than we see — and they deserve support too.

🔬 Why It Matters

  • 75% of parent-carers report clinical levels of emotional distress (Contact, 2023)
  • Carers are 3x more likely to experience anxiety or depression
  • Siblings often carry silent trauma, responsibility, or shutdown
  • Many carers feel alone, ashamed, or like they’ve failed — when they’re actually holding everything together

By supporting carers and families, we prevent crisis, breakdown, and generational trauma — and we create space for true healing.
