💼 Future Pathway

Building Independence, Employability & Confidence for the Next Step

Helping young people move forward — with purpose, skills, and self-belief.

The Future Pathway supports young people who are ready to take their next steps beyond foundation learning.

It focuses on developing practical life and employability skills through a blend of accredited education, mentoring, and real-world experience.

For many learners, traditional academic routes aren’t accessible or motivating.

Future Pathway offers a flexible, relational alternative — one that recognises strengths, builds independence, and inspires confidence in what comes next.

Many learners transition here after completing our Foundations Pathway, creating a supported progression into higher-level learning, enterprise, or adulthood preparation.

  • This pathway is designed for young people aged 13–25 who:

    • Are ready for their next stage of education, employment, or training
    • Have disengaged from mainstream schooling or need alternative provision
    • Learn best through hands-on, practical or project-based experiences
    • Are developing employability, enterprise, or life skills
    • Benefit from mentoring and emotional support alongside learning

The Future Pathway bridges the gap between education and the real world — helping learners find direction, purpose, and confidence at their own pace.

🧩 What We Offer

Learning is accredited through ASDAN Employability, Personal Development, and Life Skills qualifications — all Ofqual-recognised and widely accepted by schools, local authorities, and further education providers.

Our sessions focus on:

  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Problem-solving and communication
  • Goal-setting and time management
  • Career exploration and workplace awareness
  • Money management and budgeting
  • Confidence and self-reliance

Learning is flexible, creative, and tailored to each learner’s interests — linking education to real-world relevance and meaningful personal goals.

🌿 How It Works

  • Personalised learning plans aligned with individual strengths and aspirations
  • Delivery through 1:1 mentoring, small group projects, or community-based sessions
  • Option to link with our Young Dream Builders enterprise mentoring for business start-up ideas
  • Accredited ASDAN qualifications and personal portfolios
  • Regular progress reviews with parents, carers, and professionals

All mentors are trained in trauma-informed practice, neurodiversity, and relational coaching, ensuring every learner is emotionally supported as they move toward independence.

  • 🧠 Our Approach

The Future Pathway uses a strengths-based, person-centred model that helps learners identify what they’re good at, what they value, and how to turn that into practical skills.

We focus on self-belief before skill-building, supporting each young person to grow at their own pace with achievable milestones and trusted relationships.

💛 Trauma-Informed Practice

Every session is underpinned by emotional safety and co-regulation.

Our educators understand how stress, anxiety, and past experiences affect focus and motivation — ensuring learning environments are calm, respectful, and free from pressure.

By meeting learners where they are, we help them build confidence in where they’re going.

💡 Why It Matters

Many young people outside mainstream education feel left behind — unsure how to build a future that fits their needs or identity.

The Future Pathway provides that missing bridge: a safe, practical route to independence, employability, and purpose.

Through relational mentoring and real-world learning, young people begin to see that their future isn’t defined by grades or systems — it’s built from confidence, skills, and opportunity.

🌈 Outcomes

Learners completing the Future Pathway will:

  • Achieve accredited ASDAN Employability and Personal Development qualifications
  • Build practical and transferable skills for life, work, and further learning
  • Strengthen self-management, teamwork, and communication
  • Develop independence, resilience, and personal responsibility
  • Create a clear plan for their next steps into adulthood

  • If you support a young person who’s ready to explore what comes next — whether it’s employment, enterprise, or further learning — the Future Pathway can help them take that next step with confidence.

Because every young person deserves a future that fits who they are — not who they’re told to be.
